
Laila is a staff attorney/Equal Justice America Fellow at the Law Clinic at Loyola University New Orleans, College of Law, where she provides direct legal services to immigrants in removal proceedings, supervises clinical law students, and researches the human rights violations of the post-Katrina immigrant labor population. Laila earned her B.A., majoring in history and studio art, at Rice University and her J.D. at Columbia Law School. She is a native of Long Beach, Mississippi, and proud New Orleanian.
