Kelisha Garrett
Kelisha Garrett is a Small Business owner and Financial Consultant in the New Orleans community. She received her Masters in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix in April of 2007. Kelisha began her financial services career as an advisor with Merrill Lynch and subsequently moved to Thomas-Waddell & Associates where she practiced until Nov 2009. Prior to financial services, Kelisha had a 10 year career in nursing during which she worked in the hospital setting, as well as in the community as a Home Health Nurse. During this period of time, she also worked in the capacity of Director of Business Development for a privately-owned pharmaceutical research company and as a legal nurse consultant. She currently owns and operates Gen-X Consulting Group a business management firm focused on working with entrepreneurs and small business owners.
Kelisha is the Co-Chair for the Greater New Orleans Women’s Breakfast and Treasurer for the National Black MBA Association - New Orleans Chapter. Additionally, she is a Board member and Marketing committee chair with Dress For Success-New Orleans, a Collaborative Partner of 504ward, Parliamentarian for the Concerned Civic Leaders of Jefferson Parish and Co-Chair of the Professional Development committee of the Urban League/Young Professionals and steering committee member of Engage NOLA.
