Jameeta Youngblood
Jameeta is a proud,
native New Orleanian with an affinity for service to her community. Ms.
Youngblood earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from
Nicholls State University in 2004, followed by a Masters in Business
Administration in 2007. While pursuing her MBA, Ms. Youngblood received Master
Advisor certification from Nicholls State University, which allowed her to
advise undergraduate students on issues concerning education. She utilized her
organizational skills as secretary of the MBA Association, a position that
enabled her to help revamp a successful network among students, alumni, and
faculty.
Ms. Youngblood is the
Assistant Operations Director at 89.9FM WWNO radio station (NPR’s New Orleans
affiliate). In this position she has helped to enhance WWNO’s financial strength
by supporting the corporate underwriting program, which accounts for one third
of WWNO’s income.
Ms. Youngblood’s talents
were recently acknowledged and sought after in the position of secretary for
WWNO’s Community Advisory Board. She also serves as Corresponding Secretary for
the Urban League Young Professionals, Director of Membership for EngageNOLA for 2011,
and sits on the Board for the New Orleans Women’s Shelter.
