EngageNOLA CANDIDATE WATCH

Overview: To ensure that the upcoming municipal elections are driven by the electorate's priorities and concerns by pushing candidates to respond to the issues raised by EngageNOLA on behalf of the general electorate, particularly the young adult electorate.

Objectives: Develop candidate surveys eliciting their responses on specific municipal issues, with the priority of eliciting responses based on data and evidence. Introduce accountability as a crucial aspect of municipal politics by tracking and publicizing on our website discrepancies between candidate survey responses and recent statements or developments over the course of the campaigns.

Review the EngageNOLA Candidate Watch Action Team Game Plan.

Contact Todd Ragusa and Eban Walters if you're interested in being part of this Action Team or if you have any survey questions you think we should consider and/or include.

Candidate BIOs & SURVEY responses are now available: Click on a candidate to see his or her responses to the survey and data from additional sources tracking a candidate's stance on the issues covered in the survey.  Data from additional sources have been compiled by EngageNOLA in partnership with The Policy & Research Group.
